Many thanks to Jim Davila for mentioning this new blog on his own superb blog Paleojudaica. As for my title, his readers having realized that it derives from Coleridge's "Kubla Khan," Jim asks if this might be an example of "slippage of meaning between oral and written versions of a text." ...Yeah, yeah, that's it! Actually, I just mis-heard it that way when I was young, and have been having a good laugh at myself ever since. Also, it seemed evocative of both religion and wordplay, two things that I think about and plan to blog about.
Also, "Paleojudaica" was taken.
